I decided to repaint our deck… and I told my boyfriend that I wanted to do it myself. But, he couldn’t help himself and had to at least offer a LITTLE unsolicited advice as he watched me use a small paint brush to paint each and every crevice and spindle on the railings by hand over the course of 18 hours. As I reached the halfway point for the FIRST COAT, while seriously doubting why I thought this would be an “easy weekend project”, he pops up and says “looks great! I wonder if it would’ve been easier just to spray it with a paint sprayer…?”

So, obviously, I had to explain why that was a horrible idea (overspray, runs, etc.) and why a paint brush was the only way to go. Two weeks (and three coats) later, I finally finished painting the railings white. I took one look at the lattice I would need to stain next and immediately ordered this sprayer on Amazon, because there was no way in hell I was going to spend another two weeks shoving my paintbrush into every nook and cranny of 100+ sq ft of lattice.

I read the directions and fired this ‘lil puppy up, and MY GOD – WHAT A DREAM. I don’t want to go too far and say it was slightly orgasmic….. but it was slightly orgasmic. I sprayed all of the lattice under the deck in maybe…. 20 minutes or less? You can adjust the spray angle, the volume, etc. with just a quick little twist. The stream is so controlled with practically zero spray if you are careful and deliberate. I had purchased a bunch of drop cloths thinking I’d need to cover my white railings just in case…. but I didn’t even open the packages. In fact, I was able to spray the wood right next to the white posts (literally touching the post) without getting any stain on it! Maybe I’m an excellent sprayer, or maybe this little machine is just THAT good… I’ll let you decide.

So I did what every strong, independent woman would do and admitted that I was 150% wrong and absolutely should’ve used this sprayer on the railings. It would’ve saved me so much time, energy and frustration.

I love this sprayer so much, I’ve started spraying EVERYTHING… the shed, fence, patio furniture, etc. I have had zero problems. If this magical creation can keep up with my home improvement projects, I’m convinced it can do anything.”
